Gaining more self confidence with Smile Brilliant

Hello lovelies 🙂 I’m so excited to finally write about this incredible product from Smile Brilliant! It’s been a long process but one which has been so incredibly worth it and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

I’ve never really had very white teeth, I can always remember right back to when I was little always wanting sparkly white teeth. No matter how hard I tried and no matter which whitening toothpaste I used, nothing made a difference.

After speaking to my dentist at my last appointment I expressed an interest in having them whitened. His response still hurts to this day! He told me that as nice as my teeth were, they could definitely do with being whiter as they looked dull. It sounds like nothing, but when you’ve been self-conscious of them for a while, it’s hard to hear. When he mentioned to me that it was going to cost a small fee of around £300 +, I came to terms with the fact that it was going to be years before I could get them done.

I’ve always been a tea and coffee drinker, any of you who know me know that I must have about four a day! That, mixed with the fact that James has started me off on the red wine train, it’s safe to say they certainly weren’t getting any whiter! I’ve tried all of the charcoal fads and regular “whitening” toothpastes and have never been able to make my staining budge.

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of information available on there detailing the process and what comes with each kit.

The fact that I could do everything from home (and even from the office at some points) was a massive bonus. It meant I could do this on a night after work and it wouldn’t mean taking any time off to go for a lengthy appointment.

So what was the process?

Honestly, I never thought an “at home” kit would be so easy. Once my package had arrived I made my teeth moulds myself at home (which was surprisingly fun!) and sent them back over to Smile Brilliant in the envelope provided. To say that the trays came back from America, it only took just over a week from me sending them off to getting them back! The whole process from start to now has been super simple and user-friendly.

To start with I whitened my teeth every night for between 1 and 3 hours. I literally started to notice a difference after a couple of days. One thing I was worried about was that my teeth can sometimes be sensitive, so putting products like this on my teeth was always going to be a concern. Luckily Smile Brilliant also sends you desensitising gel to accompany the whitening gel which you use afterwards.

Even my Mum has gone ahead and purchased the kit now!

One thing I will say is that when I initially started I cut out coffee and red wine completely, just to make sure I wasn’t slowing down the process, which I would definitely recommend doing. It means your smile becomes a lot whiter quicker! I’ll definitely be using this product as my go-to to keep my smile super white.
