Be date night ready with Lola Makeup

As someone who very rarely wears any form of makeup on my lips, I was a bit dubious about trying such a strong, bold colour. But thanks to the lovely people at Lola Makeup I can ensure I’m date night ready all the time!

Lola Makeup has been brought together and designed by a team of beauty experts and make-up artists that clearly have a true passion for good quality makeup. With their cruelty-free makeup, everyone (including little ol’ me) can become a beauty expert.

I can honestly say when I received these products through the post, I didn’t know how they would turn out and how they would fair up when I used them. Especially as when I tested them, I wore them on quite a heavy drinking night with some friends! I well and truly put all the products through their paces.

For me, the packaging and design of the products immediately says high quality. I absolutely love the logo, which is super simple and would be so recognisable standing in any high-end department store beauty counter. Whoever heads up their marketing department has really got it right!

The matt black design also works extremely well with these products and they stand really well against all my other makeup, including all of my fantastic Bobbi Brown products. I can’t wait to pick up some more, they’re the kind of product that will definitely become staple pieces in my forever growing collection.

Lip Pencil & Matte Long Lasting Lipstick

I couldn’t believe my luck when I tried these two products. I’ve been wanting a new matte lipstick for so long and despite it being such a strong colour, this is definitely one I’m going to try and use in my everyday makeup.

The pencil applies so easily and is super soft on your lips. The one thing I’ve always struggled with lip liner is actually getting it perfectly around my lips. With this particular one, it’s fabulously easy. One of the best things about the Lola Makeup lip pencil is that it doesn’t let your lipstick seep out. Honestly, if you’re looking for a high-quality lip pencil then make sure this is added to your collection.

As far as matte lipsticks go, this one has to be one of the best I have ever tried. The way the colour blends onto your lips is amazing and you really don’t need a lot to get good coverage. If you’re like me, you’ll just apply the lipstick straight onto your lips, but if you want, there’s also a small soft brush on the other side of the lip pencil you can use too! Absolutely love things like this with dual functionality 🙂

I have the Lip Pencil in the colour Cherry and the Matte Long Lasting Lipstick in the colour Merry Berry. Most definitely will be getting myself some more to add to my collection, I particularly like the pencil in Petal to go with the lipstick in Sultry!

Automatic Eye Pencil

I’ve had a few different brands of eye pencils but this particular one is fantastic! The automatic eye pencil has an ultra-slim retractable twist-up pencil which makes sure that you get precise application every time. It has an almost gel-like feel to it which makes it easy to apply, ensuring your lines are clean and accurate.

I don’t think I’ve ever managed to find an eye pencil that can withstand a drunken night out but I can ensure you, this one really does! Even through drunken girly exchanges of  “you’re the best friend ever”, it was still standing strong when the other half and I got back to the hotel. I love it because it’s ultra black and really makes my eyes stand out.

If you’re more daring than me, it also comes in other colours such as grey, blue, green and purple!

If you’re going to pick up anything from the Lola Makeup site I would definitely recommend these products. Whether you’re starting your collection or expanding it, the lip pencil, matte lipstick and eye pencil are definitely fab products to buy first. The quality is fantastic and the packaging is gorgeous! It’s up there with one of my favourite beauty brands at the moment.
