My starlight experience at The Spa at Rudding Park

So last weekend my Mum and sister were supposed to be heading on an adventure to Copenhagen. Unfortunately, I couldn’t join them due to the fact I was running a wedding I had planned on the Friday. However, due to my sister getting an audition on the West End in London, they cancelled their trip.

After her audition, my sister headed back up North to Harrogate on Saturday to see us all. It was great news as due to my sister now being a Londoner, I never get to spend a decent amount of time with her. With my sister heading up my Mum suggested we all get together and do something. So she decided to treat us both to the starlight experience at Rudding Park’s new Spa facilities!

I couldn’t believe it! I’ll forever be grateful for this because let me tell you, Rudding Park is not cheap! So this really was an experience and a half.

We were welcomed with a glass of pink prosecco.

I’m not even ashamed to say this started me off on a really good foot haha. I’m a sucker for pink fizz! We were taken to the new Horto Cafe which is an extension of the Horto Restaurant. The space is decorated so beautifully and the atmosphere is fantastic! I’ve said to James that we’ll have to save up and go for a special occasion.

The lady who showed us around the rest of the spa was so lovely and despite only having started that day, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. To get anywhere in the spa you need to have a wristband which has a cool hidden fob in it. This allows you into all the facilities and also unlocks your locker! Inside your locker, you have the usual robe, slippers and towel 🙂 everything was so soft!

First, we headed to the outdoor jacuzzi.

My Mum had very kindly organised for us all to have massages during our visit. But first, we headed up to the rooftop. Up on the top, there are plenty of things for you to do! Including an outdoor pool, jacuzzi and cabin sauna! It’s like stepping into a totally different world honestly. We spent time enjoying the jacuzzi and having a good catch up with each other before heading back inside. Once inside we went to try the little foot spas they have. Ugh, I didn’t half enjoy these! We all sat together and relaxed with our feet soaking in bubbling hot water.

There are so many different sauna and steam room experiences.

I couldn’t quite believe how many different types of saunas and steam rooms there were! There’s the Panoramic Sauna which sits next to the outdoor Hydrotherapy Infinity Pool, the Herbal Bath Steam Room and the Luxury Steam Room, which is like a mini temple. I have to say the luxury steam room had to be my favourite! It was so relaxing and an incredible experience.

The Spa at Rudding Park

The best massage I’ve had in a long time.

After we’d had a good explore of the facilities we headed down to the lower ground floor to get our massages. The girls down there are super lovely and really know their stuff. My massage, I have to say, was the best one I’ve had in a long time. Probably since we went to Greece last year. If you can get to The Spa at Rudding Park for one thing only, I’d say go for a massage! Once you’ve finished your treatment you are taken to their Mind and Sense Zones. There are four spaces to choose from, Visual, Audio, Relax and Mind. All of which offer different types of “activities”. We chose the visual space as it had the most amazing pod swing seat!

Enjoying the outdoors.

Once we’d finished we all decided to head back up to the rooftop to enjoy the Hydrotherapy Infinity Pool before we left. This had to be the best part of the trip in my opinion. It’s so nice to sit in a hot pool and just stare up at the night sky and completely relax. It’s a feeling that I really cannot put into words.

Honestly, I cannot thank my Mum enough for this treat. It really was an experience I will never forget.

If you ever venture up (or down) to Harrogate, I would 100% recommend getting booked in. Even if it’s just to experience the facilities. It really is an experience you’ll never forget.

Have you ever been? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments 🙂
