I’m a bugger for forgetting it all, drinking a boatload of cocktails and eating my bodyweight in rich heavy foods. It is a common theme that surrounds all of my holidays.
The last time I actually worked out on holiday was last September when we went to Greece, and this was purely because the gym looked insane and I wanted a nosy! I think nowadays, people are becoming a lot more conscious of living an overall healthier lifestyle, which is why I feel like it’s super important to keep active whilst you’re away.
Whether this is a quick run on the beach, hitting the hotel gym, or having a swim in the pool, it’s important to keep our bodies going, even while we’re away relaxing.
They are so confident about providing the perfect holiday, even for those wanting to keep fit, that they put this to the test.
This year, Marella Cruises teamed up with celebrity couple and health & well-being fanatics, Frankie and Wayne Bridge to showcase the ease and accessibility of keeping in ship shape on holiday. Frankie & Wayne worked closely with the staff on-board to devise their own unique fitness itinerary, proving that keeping ship shape onboard is a breeze!
Marella Cruise ships provided the perfect location for still being able to keep your fitness levels up whilst taking in all of the beautiful surroundings.
Frankie and Wayne also proved that health and wellness isn’t just important for yourself, but also important for your relationship too. Whether you’re holidaying with your significant other or with your bestie, working out together makes a session so much more enjoyable!
By offering a plethora of activities when booking their cruises such as fun excursions ashore, kayaking and rock climbing, they really do offer something for everyone. You can even grab a couple of yoga mats and fit in a cheeky sunrise or sunset workout up on deck!
“The service & atmosphere on board was second to none.” – Frankie & Wayne Bridge
One thing that the couple highlighted in one of their videos was the importance of still eating well on holiday, which is definitely something I learned when I was away in Greece. It truly has become something I’m very passionate about, not only on holiday but in my normal day-to-day life.
Eating well and fuelling your body with good food is vital and I cannot stress this enough. Whilst we were in Greece we ate so much incredible food, made better by the fact that it was all fresh and super lean and clean. Nothing was processed or frozen.
I will 100% be following in Frankie and Wayne’s footsteps when we go away again in September! May even try and pursuade James to join me for morning beach yoga 😉 watch this space!
