Welcome to my new blog mini-series! All about my new found love for all things interior.
I’m not going to lie, since we moved into our new home I’ve become a little bit obsessed with buying bits and pieces for every room. Now I know the big furniture and paint is important…..however, and I’m blaming my mother for this, I can’t seem to help buying the finishing touches before the furniture.
I wanted my first post not to be about the work we’re doing because quite frankly, at the moment the house is a tip and we have half a kitchen! I really wanted it to be about all the beautiful, cute and quirky bits I’ve found in some of my favourite stores. So grab a cup of coffee and read on for my current homeware crushes of the moment!
If you’re a blogger newbie, you might not know exactly what self-hosting is.
You might be running your blog on the free WordPress.com or Blogger platforms and have not a clue about the process of hosting. That was me last year. One thing I’ve realised is that to be a serious blogger, the best thing you can do for yourself and the growth of your blog is to go self-hosted.
So what on earth is self-hosting?
When you have a self-hosted blog, you pay for your blog to be online. You don’t use a free platform and you pay a web host like Siteground to “house” your website and display it on the Internet. When you self-host you own your website and you can get your own domain name instead of “www.yourwebsite.wordpress.com”.
As someone who very rarely wears any form of makeup on my lips, I was a bit dubious about trying such a strong, bold colour. But thanks to the lovely people at Lola Makeup I can ensure I’m date night ready all the time!
Lola Makeup has been brought together and designed by a team of beauty experts and make-up artists that clearly have a true passion for good quality makeup. With their cruelty-free makeup, everyone (including little ol’ me) can become a beauty expert.
Whether you’re in a relationship or not, I’ve always believed it’s super important to look after your gals. Your BFF’s and your soul sisters. These are the girls in your life who you would do anything for, and who would drop everything for you. This is why I’ve decided to do a Galentines Day gift guide instead of regular his or her guide 🙂
I literally have a handful of extremely close girl friends in my life.
I much prefer it this way because it means I can give them all the time and love they deserve. After losing friends last year, due to the fact that I realised they were poisonous friendships, it’s meant that I’ve become even closer with the handful I have now.
I’ve read so much in the news recently about the troubles that first-time buyers face.
After buying my first home at the back end of last year, all I can say is yes, it’s super difficult and very stressful, but in the end, it’s worth it. It most definitely came with its difficulties, some which could have been avoided in my opinion. I’m hoping that with my experience I can offer some half decent advice to all you first-time buyers!
